OpenAI Report: ChatGPT Dominates Daily Tasks, Rarely Used for Relationship Advice

A recent report by OpenAI reveals that the use of ChatGPT for everyday needs is rapidly increasing, but only 1.9 percent of users are utilizing it for relationship-related matters. The report analyzed 1.1 million conversations from May 2024 to July 2025, with full attention paid to privacy.

ChatGPT Relationship Advice: According to the OpenAI report, the use of ChatGPT is now rapidly increasing for people's daily tasks, writing, and information retrieval. Approximately 1.1 million conversations were analyzed across India and worldwide from May 2024 to July 2025. However, only 1.9 percent of users are using this AI chatbot for their relationship issues. Experts suggest that due to AI's intuitive interface and privacy features, the platform is gradually becoming popular for both personal advice and technical assistance.

Low Usage of ChatGPT for Relationship Advice

The OpenAI report also revealed that ChatGPT is primarily being used for information, writing, and "how-to" advice. Approximately 8.5 percent of messages involved users asking technical or lifestyle-related questions, such as "My bike isn't starting, what should I do?"

Despite the low number of relationship-related conversations, experts believe this usage could continuously increase. AI chatbots have become a reliable option for users due to their intuitive interface and quick responses.

2.5 Billion Messages Sent Daily

The report also includes data from July 2025, which revealed that approximately 2.5 billion messages were being sent daily on ChatGPT. This number indicates that people are not limiting their use of the platform to relationship or personal advice but are also utilizing it for work, writing, skill development, and other everyday questions.

According to OpenAI's analysis, users are gradually adopting AI chatbots in every aspect of life. This trend is likely to accelerate in the coming years.

How ChatGPT is Changing User Behavior

AI chatbots like ChatGPT have transformed people's thinking and problem-solving habits. Users are now seeking advice from AI instead of directly asking an expert. OpenAI studied this evolving behavior and found that people are continuously engaging with AI on technical problems, writing tasks, health, and personal issues.

Experts state that such AI technology provides users with quick and reliable solutions. Furthermore, despite its limited use in relationship advice, it is gradually gaining popularity due to its reliability and privacy.
