In his address, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the journey from Aryabhata to Gaganyaan, stating that it inspires generations. He also mentioned the success of Chandrayaan-3, which has set new heights in space history for India.

Chandrayaan-3 and India's Achievements in the Space Sector

The Prime Minister said that the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon's South Pole in 2023 has given India a significant milestone in the space sector. He said, "This achievement is not only the result of the hard work of ISRO scientists, but it is also a source of pride for the country and inspiration for the youth." PM Modi emphasized that National Space Day has now become an important opportunity to generate enthusiasm among the youth and interest in space science.

The Prime Minister said that ISRO has launched initiatives like the Indian Space Hackathon and Robotics Challenge, through which young scientists and students get the opportunity to actively participate in the space sector. This not only demonstrates the strength of India's space program but also inspires young people to pursue careers in science and technology.

The Journey from Aryabhata to Gaganyaan

Prime Minister Modi said that this year's theme for Space Day is "From Aryabhata to Gaganyaan." He explained that this is not only a symbol of India's past and present but also indicative of the country's ambitions and resolutions for the future. PM Modi also said that this journey inspires the youth to dream and fulfill them. He urged students and young scientists to play an active role in advancing ISRO and India's space program.

India's Emerging Leadership

The Prime Minister also mentioned the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics recently organized by India. In this competition, nearly 300 young people from more than 60 countries participated, and Indian youth won medals, enhancing the country's prestige. ISRO's Future Plans

ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan also shared information about India's future space missions on this occasion. He informed that ISRO is soon going to launch the Chandrayaan-4 mission and the Venus Orbiter mission. In addition, India's own space station BIS (Bharat International Space Station) will be established by 2035, the first module of which will be launched by 2028.

V. Narayanan also said that Prime Minister Modi has approved the Next Generation Launcher (NGL). He assured that by 2040, India will be able to land on the Moon and return safely. In this way, India's space program will be on par with any other space program in the world.

India's Global Identity in Space

Prime Minister Modi also said that India has created a global identity in space through its scientific and technical efforts. He said that such achievements in space are the result of the hard work of the country's scientists and the talent of the youth. The Prime Minister appealed to the youth to participate in new missions and research work in science, space, and technology.
