PM Modi in Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Saturday, where he addressed a public gathering, not only presenting an account of development works but also appearing emotional while mentioning the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack. On this occasion, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 52 projects worth ₹2200 crore, and also released the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi for farmers.
Prime Minister Emotional in Kashi, Says – 'My Heart Went Through Great Pain'
In his address, Prime Minister Modi greeted the people of Kashi and said,
'The people are my masters in Kashi, the month of Sawan, Kashi, and the opportunity to connect with farmers across the country – there can be no greater coincidence than this.'
He recalled the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, saying that the brutal killing of 26 innocent people shook his heart. PM Modi said,
'The pain of their families, the sorrow of the children, the agony of the daughters was causing great pain to my heart. At that time, I prayed to Baba Vishwanath to give strength to the grieving families to bear this sorrow.'
Revenge for the Sindoor Was Taken, Says PM
The Prime Minister said that he had promised to avenge the sindoor of his daughters, and that promise has now been fulfilled under 'Operation Sindoor.'
He said that all this has been possible only with the blessings of Mahadev. I dedicate the success of this operation to the feet of Baba Vishwanath. During his address, Prime Minister Modi also addressed the public in Bhojpuri. He said,
'In the holy month of Sawan, today I have the opportunity to meet my family members in Kashi. I salute every family member of Kashi. This style of the Prime Minister overwhelmed the public present in the meeting.'
New Gift of Development: 52 Projects Worth ₹2200 Crore
During this time, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 52 development projects worth more than ₹2200 crore.
These mainly include:
- Foundation stone of the Dalmandi Redevelopment Project
- Projects related to roads, bridges, and water supply in urban and rural areas
- Plans to strengthen health, education, and infrastructure
The Prime Minister released assistance of ₹20,500 crore to 9.7 crore farmers as the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
This scheme is ongoing with the aim of providing financial support to small and marginal farmers, and so far crores of farmers have benefited. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who arrived to welcome Prime Minister Modi, said, “It is a matter of pride for us that the Prime Minister is in Kashi after the success of Operation Sindoor. New India now responds to enemies by entering their homes and crushes terrorists into the ground.”
