PM Gujarat Visit: On the second day of his two-day Gujarat visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Electric Vehicle (EV) unit at the Maruti Suzuki plant in Hansalpur, Ahmedabad. The ceremony will be held at 10 am, marking the commencement of production from the company's first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) unit at this plant.

The PM office has stated that this initiative will establish India as a global manufacturing hub for Suzuki's electric vehicles, further strengthening India's position in the field of electric mobility.

'e-Vitara' Maruti's First Electric SUV in the Segment

During the inauguration ceremony, Maruti Suzuki will launch its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara. This will be the company's first offering in the electric vehicle segment, further solidifying Maruti's presence in India's rapidly growing EV market. This step into the EV segment will prove to be historic not only for the company but also for the automotive sector of India. As production begins at the plant, the first batch of this vehicle will be ready today and will soon be available in the Indian market.

On the first day of his visit, Prime Minister Modi praised Gujarat's industrial progress at a public gathering in Ahmedabad. He stated that the state is rapidly advancing in the manufacturing sector and playing a vital role in building a self-reliant India. Exports to Over 100 Countries

A statement issued by the PM office states that the Battery Electric Vehicles manufactured in this new unit will be exported to over 100 countries, including Europe and Japan. This step will be a great example of the success of Make in India and will give India a new identity globally in the field of electric mobility. The quality and competitive prices of electric vehicles exported from India will strengthen the credibility of Indian technology in foreign markets.

Boosting Local Employment and Industrial Development

This new EV plant in Hansalpur will not only boost the production of electric vehicles but will also create new employment opportunities at the local level. PM Modi's Gujarat Visit

Prime Minister Modi held a grand roadshow in Ahmedabad on Monday, which was attended by a crowd of thousands. After this, he inaugurated, laid the foundation stone, and dedicated to the nation several development projects worth Rs 5,400 crore. The aim of these projects is to strengthen the state's infrastructure and accelerate industrial development.

During this, PM Modi said that the land of Gujarat is the land of two Mohans - Sudarshan-Chakradhari Mohan i.e. Dwarkadhish Shri Krishna and Charkhadhari Mohan i.e. Mahatma Gandhi. He said that India is continuously becoming ber by following the path shown by both of them.
