Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched schemes worth over 62,000 crore rupees for the youth at the Kaushal Deekshat Samaroh. PM Modi stated that this ceremony symbolizes the high priority today's India places on skills. On this occasion, two major education and skill development schemes were launched for young people across the country, which will help strengthen their careers and employment opportunities.

Special Emphasis on Skills and Education

Prime Minister Modi said that today, youth in the country are receiving two significant opportunities in education and skill development. He spoke about updating ITIs across the country and modernizing training facilities under the PM SETU scheme. Under this scheme, 1,200 new skill labs have also been inaugurated.

Several new initiatives have also been undertaken for Bihar, including a new Skill Training University, expansion of university facilities, the Bihar Commission for Youth, and appointment letters for government jobs to thousands of young people. The Prime Minister stated that all these schemes guarantee the empowered and sustainable growth of Bihar's youth.

Priority Given to Women and Youth

Prime Minister Modi also mentioned schemes launched to promote women's employment. He stated that the NDA government gives equal importance to women and youth, providing them opportunities to advance local skills and talent. The Prime Minister also highlighted that ITIs are playing a crucial role.

The government has established 5,000 new ITIs in the country so far, and their facilities are being updated. The PM SETU scheme will benefit over 1,000 ITIs nationwide. This will include training experts, new machinery, and an updated curriculum.

Referring to Bihar's previous education system, Prime Minister Modi said that two decades ago, the education system in Bihar was completely collapsed. Schools and colleges did not open on time, and the recruitment process was also entirely affected. He stated that millions of children were forced to leave Bihar and go to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Banaras for their studies.

The Prime Minister stated that the misgovernance of RJD had left Bihar in a state like a tree infested with pests. The NDA government worked to bring it back on track. He also added that some people are trying to misrepresent the legacy of Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur, whereas Jan Nayak was made by the people of Bihar.

New Education and Employment Initiatives in Bihar

Prime Minister Modi said that IIT Patna has expanded, and NIT Bihta has been opened for students. Additionally, the Nitish government has reduced student expenses. Loans received through the student credit card have been made interest-free, and the scholarship amount has been increased from 1,800 rupees to 3,600 rupees. He stated that schools have now opened in every village in Bihar, and the state government is continuously working to enhance the potential of its youth.

The Nitish government has so far provided employment to 5 lakh youth and made 10 lakh jobs available. In the coming time, the government plans to double its employment targets.
