Pan-India superstar Prabhas's highly anticipated film, ‘The Raja Saab,’ is once again in the headlines, but this time for a shocking and concerning reason. The film's teaser, slated for release on June 16, 2025, was leaked online on June 13th.
The Raja Saab: The teaser for superstar Prabhas's much-awaited film, The Raja Saab, has been leaked online before its official release, causing outrage among filmmakers and fans. This romantic horror-comedy is set for theatrical release later this year. Responding to the leak, the makers have issued a b warning on social media.
They condemned the leak, not only as a disregard for the team's hard work but also indicated potential legal action. The makers appealed to fans not to share any unauthorized or leaked content and to await the official release.
Teaser Leak: Makers Express Outrage, Issue Stern Warning
Film director Maruti and producer People Media Factory immediately released an official statement on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating that legal action will be taken against anyone who shares or promotes any video, clip, or scene related to The Raja Saab. Such accounts may also be suspended from the platform. They urged respect for the film's confidentiality and the team's hard work.
The statement further emphasized that the film is the result of the hopes of millions of fans and the hard work of the cast and crew, making the pre-release leak unfortunate and illegal.
Fans Express Anger, Outrage on Social Media
News of the leak sparked considerable anger among Prabhas's fans. One fan wrote, "Those who are ruining the film's essence and surprise by leaking it are not true film lovers. Block and report such people." Another user wrote, "We stand with Prabhas's hard work and the industry's confidentiality. Spreading the leak is wrong."
‘The Raja Saab’ is a romantic horror-comedy, a departure from Prabhas's traditional action image. He plays a dual role—a common man, 'Das,' and a mysterious 'Raja Saab.' The film's story revolves around a haunted mansion, offering a compelling blend of fear and humor.
The film stars Nidhi Agarwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar as the female leads. Sanjay Dutt plays a significant role. Anupam Kher, Jayaram, Jarina Wahab, Yogi Babu, and Brahmanandam add further star power. A special dance number featuring Nayanthara is also generating buzz.
Music and Cinematography Also Generate Buzz
The film's music is composed by Thaman S, known for his melodies in both South Indian and Hindi cinema. The cinematography is by Karthik Palani, who has previously contributed to visually rich films. The Raja Saab's budget is reportedly between ₹300 and ₹450 crore, adding to Prabhas's list of high-budget films. Initially slated for release on April 10, 2025, delays in VFX and post-production have pushed the release date to December 5, 2025.
The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. The teaser is still planned for online and select theater releases on June 16th.
