Mount Abu Rescue: There is great news from Mount Abu, a famous tourist destination in Rajasthan. Professor Abhimanyu Singh, who came to visit from Udaipur and got separated from his group on Saturday while trekking in the dense forests of Shergaon, was found safe on Monday. This success was achieved after a 36-hour intensive rescue operation involving the district administration, police, forest department, disaster management, CRPF, Army, and local villagers.
Professor Abhimanyu Singh was part of a trekking group of six people. Due to the dense forest and difficult trails, he got separated from the group, and his whereabouts were unknown until late evening. Tracking his mobile location revealed that his last location was near a temple in Shergaon.
Administration Took Immediate Action After the Incident
Upon receiving information about the incident, the district administration immediately formed several teams comprising police, forest department, disaster management team, CRPF, Army, and local people. The search operation started late Saturday night, and from Sunday morning, separate teams were sent to the Shergaon wildlife area.
A special 15-member team stayed in the forest on Sunday night. This included the Assistant Commandant of CRPF, local trackers, and villagers. The aim was to start the search operation immediately on Monday morning and intensify the search by staying near the Professor's location.
Rescue Team Started Search Operation in Heavy Rain
This search operation cannot be called easy. It was constantly raining in Mount Abu, and it was extremely difficult for the teams to move forward due to the dense forest. However, staying in the forest benefited the teams because, despite heavy rain on Monday morning, they were already close to the potential search location.
The contribution of local trackers and villagers was significant in this operation. Their experience and knowledge of the area helped the rescue team move forward safely and quickly.
Rescue Team Safely Evacuated the Professor
On Monday morning, around 9 am, Professor Abhimanyu Singh was contacted on his mobile. The rescue team immediately moved towards his location and found him safe shortly after. The Professor maintained his courage during this time and came out safely with the guidance of the team.
The District Collector said, "The CRPF and other parties worked in coordination with the contribution of local villagers and trackers. Professor Abhimanyu Singh is completely safe and has not suffered any injuries. This is the result of a fantastic teamwork."
