A protest march was held in Dumraon, Bihar, under the banner of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation and the All India Progressive Women’s Association (AIPWA), with a primary demand for ensuring participation of Dalit and backward-class women. Protesters also raised questions over the law and order situation and chanted slogans against the administration.

A large number of women and activists participated in the march, carrying placards and banners to assert their demands. Protesters stated that Dalit and backward-class women are not receiving equal rights and representation in society, and emphasized the need to ensure both.

Leaders of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation addressed the gathering and accused the government of neglecting issues affecting weaker sections. They said that concrete measures are required to ensure the safety and dignity of women.

Protesters also alleged that the law and order situation in the area is not satisfactory and that incidents of crime are increasing, creating fear among residents. They demanded that the administration strengthen security arrangements and take strict action against those responsible.

Police personnel were deployed during the march to prevent any disruption. The protest concluded peacefully, with no reports of any untoward incidents.

Activists warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly, they would be compelled to intensify their agitation. They also urged the government to engage in dialogue to resolve the issues.

Local residents said such movements draw attention to social concerns and prompt administrative action.

The protest march in Dumraon reflects growing concerns over social justice, women’s rights, and law and order, with organized efforts being made to raise these issues.
