Rahul Gandhi Alleges Electoral Irregularities, Questions Modi's Majority at Legal Conclave

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has once again taken a sharp stance on the alleged irregularities in the country's electoral system in the Lok Sabha. Speaking at the annual Legal Conclave 2025 held in Delhi, he expressed deep doubts about the election system.

Annual Legal Conclave: At the annual Legal Conclave 2025 held at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, raised serious questions about India's election system. He not only targeted the impartiality of the Election Commission but also expressed doubts about the majority Prime Minister Narendra Modi received in the 2024 general election.

The event was attended by several senior Congress leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Election System is Finished: Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi said, "India's election system is no longer fair. When I say that the election system in India is finished, I have evidence for it." He alleged that rigging has been happening in elections since 2014, but he received the real proof during the recent Maharashtra Assembly elections.

According to Rahul, one crore new voters were added to the voter list in Maharashtra in just four months after the Lok Sabha elections, most of whom voted for the BJP. "This cannot be accidental. We investigated it deeply for six months, and now we have proof."

Questions on the Impartiality of the Election Commission

The Congress MP claimed that constitutional institutions like the Election Commission have become inactive. He said, "We found out how 1.5 lakh out of 6.5 lakh voters turned out to be fake. This is not a normal lapse but a serious game played with democracy." Rahul Gandhi said that in the coming days, the Congress party would show the country with evidence how the election process was influenced.

Rahul Gandhi directly questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, "If there had not been rigging in just 15 seats in the 2024 general election, Narendra Modi would not be the Prime Minister of the country today." He alleged that the entire legitimacy of the majority is under suspicion.

Not Getting a Single Seat in Rajasthan, Gujarat, MP is Surprising for Congress

Rahul Gandhi also commented on the assembly elections of the past years. He said that the Congress not even opening its account in large states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat raises suspicion. He said, "The BJP winning in such large numbers and a national party like the Congress not winning a single seat is against the democratic balance."

Showing a copy of the Indian Constitution at the event, Rahul Gandhi said, "Today, there is a direct attack on the Constitution and the democratic values enshrined in it. There is no trust left in the election system. Until the elections are transparent, the protection of the Constitution will remain incomplete."
