The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is currently on a 'Voter Rights Yatra' amongst voters in Bihar. On Tuesday, this Yatra reached Nawada from Gaya. The Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, is also accompanying him on this Yatra.
Nawada: Amidst preparations for the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is on his "Voter Rights Yatra." On Tuesday, this Yatra reached Nawada from Gaya. Addressing the Yatra on this occasion, RJD President Tejashwi Yadav bly attacked the BJP government at the Center and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Tejashwi Yadav's statement regarding Rahul Gandhi
In his address, Tejashwi Yadav said, "You all should form a Grand Alliance government in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and soon make Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister of the country." He also questioned the working style of the Election Commission and targeted the special intensive revision campaign underway in Bihar. Tejashwi said that the BJP wants to snatch away the right to vote.
According to him, BJP people, in collusion with the Election Commission, are snatching the votes of the poor. Living people in the Lok Sabha have now been declared dead. They think that Bihar can be controlled in this way.
Sharp attack on Modi government and Bihar
Tejashwi Yadav, also targeting the Modi government, said, "Modi ji does not know that we are Biharis. One Bihari is heavier than everyone. We rub 'chuna' into 'khaini'. We will create a new Bihar. Be it any caste, class, or religion, Tejashwi will take everyone along. Modi ji has played with the people of Bihar." He also said that the people of Bihar now want change and are ready to challenge the old policies and corrupt governance in the upcoming elections.
Tejashwi Yadav also made b comments on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said, "Nitish Kumar is in an unconscious state. This time, the 20-year-old government has to be uprooted. We are people of the new era, Bihar is the youngest state. This government is playing with the future of our youth." He claims that the youth power is now moving towards change and the state needs a new government that works in the interest of the youth.
Purpose of the Voter Rights Yatra
This Yatra of Rahul Gandhi is being conducted to spread awareness among voters in Gaya, Nawada, and surrounding districts of Bihar. His objective is that people understand the importance of their right to vote and actively participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. During the Yatra, Rahul Gandhi also raised questions on the Election Commission and said that due to irregularities in the voter list, the votes of the poor and common people are being affected.
Tejashwi Yadav has made it clear that all the parties of the Grand Alliance will contest the upcoming elections together. He believes that after the formation of the Grand Alliance government, democratic values, the interests of the poor, and the youth will be safe in Bihar and India.
