Following its five-day theatrical run, “Raja Shivaji” is approaching the ₹50 crore benchmark and is expected to cross the figure within the next few days if the current pace continues, according to industry estimates.
The film is based on the life and legacy of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and features large-scale battle sequences, an emotional narrative, and historical themes. It has been released in both Marathi and Hindi languages.
The film has received positive audience response for its presentation, historical subject matter, and emotional storytelling. Industry observers have also cited audience word of mouth and the bilingual release strategy among the factors contributing to its performance.
The film’s next commercial target is the ₹100 crore India net mark, a figure that no Marathi film has achieved so far.
