The Rajasthan ACB busted a case where a bribe of 50 lakh rupees was demanded for opening the mutation of 10 bighas of land in Jaipur. Broker Vikas Sharma was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of 30 lakh rupees, while the Patwari is absconding.
Rajasthan News: The Anti-Corruption Bureau in Jaipur took action on allegations of demanding a bribe of 50 lakh rupees for the mutation of 10 bighas of land. Broker Vikas Sharma was caught red-handed taking 30 lakh rupees, while Patwari Narendra Meena is absconding.
ACB's Major Action on Demand for 50 Lakh Bribe
The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) received a complaint that Patwari Narendra Meena and his broker demanded a bribe of 50 lakh rupees for opening the mutation of 10 bighas of land located on Hathoj Kalwar Road. The complainant provided written information to the ACB regarding this.
After investigating the complaint, the allegations were found to be true. Following this, a team planned a trap operation under the supervision of DIG Anil Kayal of ACB Jaipur Range and the leadership of ASP Sandeep Shashwat.
Broker Vikas Sharma Arrested Red-Handed
During the operation, the Patwari's broker, Vikas Sharma, was caught accepting a bribe of 30 lakh rupees. The ACB team recovered 5 lakh rupees in genuine currency and 25 lakh rupees in dummy notes from the spot.
However, Patwari Narendra Meena got wind of the trap and absconded from the scene. Currently, the accused broker has been arrested and is being interrogated, while the police are searching for the absconding Patwari.
ACB Also Made a Significant Arrest in Deeg
Apart from this operation in Jaipur, the ACB conducted another trap operation in the Deeg district's Duek subdivision. Here, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) Devi Singh and his reader Mukesh Kumar were arrested while accepting a bribe.
A bribe of 80,000 rupees was recovered from both. ACB officials state that these continuous actions clearly indicate that no one will be spared in cases of corruption.
