Rajasthan Municipality Clears Encroachments Around Khatu Shyam Temple to Ease Devotee Movement

The municipality has initiated strict action to remove encroachments around the Khatu Shyam temple in Rajasthan. Notices were issued and shops and street vendors were removed, which will facilitate and organize the movement of devotees.

Sikar: The number of devotees visiting the famous Khatu Shyam temple in Sikar district of Rajasthan is increasing every year. Keeping this surge in crowd and the problem of encroachment in mind, the Khatu Shyamji Municipality took strict action on Tuesday. The team removed illegal goods from shops and issued notices to encroachers. This will make it easier to maintain order in the temple premises and surrounding roads for the devotees in the coming times.

Jam and Disorder Due to Encroachment Near the Temple

There is always a huge crowd at the Khatu Shyam temple. Due to encroachment by shopkeepers on the roads and surrounding areas near the temple, problems of traffic jams and disorder persist. Devotees often stand in long queues, and it takes time to reach the temple.

According to municipal officials, this encroachment includes street vendors, small cart owners, "Dabba Gang" (referring to informal food stalls), and those applying tilak (religious marks). These not only caused inconvenience to devotees but also blocked the path for emergency vehicles.

Municipality Takes Strict Steps

On Tuesday, the Khatu Shyamji Municipality team took strict measures and removed illegal encroachments. Goods were confiscated from shops, and temporary encroachers were issued notices. The notices directed all shopkeepers to get their registrations done and keep the roads clear.

Permanent encroachers had already been warned. Now, the municipality has launched a campaign to remove temporary encroachments from roads and main routes. Under this, the team is continuously monitoring to prevent re-encroachment.

Devotees Will Get Convenience and Relief

This action will provide significant relief to the devotees visiting the temple. Now, devotees will be able to reach the temple easily and will not face traffic jams in the crowd. The municipality clarified that those who do not comply with the notices will have their goods confiscated, and if necessary, shops and illegal constructions may also be demolished.

Municipal officials state that this step has been taken to maintain cleanliness and a safe environment in the temple premises and surrounding roads. This will facilitate every devotee visiting the temple and prevent disruption during religious events.

Khatu Shyamji Municipality Plans Regular Monitoring

The Khatu Shyamji Municipality states that this is only an initial action. In the future, the team will regularly monitor the area around the temple and take prompt action to prevent any form of encroachment or disorder.

The municipality's aim is to create a safe, organized, and clean environment for devotees in and around the temple premises. This campaign will not only provide convenience to devotees but will also give proper direction to commercial activities around the temple.
