Two Farmers Killed in Rajasthan Road Accident While Repairing Tractor

A deeply tragic incident has been reported from the Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. On Saturday, two farmers died in a painful manner in the Sangad area while they were repairing a tractor's puncture on the roadside. A speeding, out-of-control car hit them. The impact was so severe that both farmers died on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the accident, local people rushed to the scene and immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot, took possession of the bodies, and sent them to the hospital for a post-mortem. Additionally, a case has been registered, and an investigation has been launched.

Both Farmers Were Residents of Barmer

The deceased have been identified as Bhura Ram (42) and Surajram (51), residents of Pachpadra village in the Barmer district. Both farmers were traveling with a tractor-trolley towards Mohangarh for work in their fields. The tractor's tire got punctured near the Bhelani toll post, due to which they had stopped on the side of the road to repair it. It was then that a speeding car coming from behind crushed them.

The Car's High Speed Caused the Death

According to eyewitnesses, the car was traveling at a very high speed, and the driver could not control the vehicle. After the accident, the car fled the scene. The police stated that prima facie, the case appears to be one of negligent driving. Efforts are being made to identify the car and its driver.

Following the accident, mourning has spread in the villages of both farmers. The bereaved families and villagers are in a state of shock and anger. They have demanded that the administration identify and arrest the driver responsible for the accident immediately. They also want strict action to be taken against the culprit. The police have assured that a thorough investigation is being conducted with complete seriousness.
