Patna: Political activities have intensified ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The main opposition party in the state, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has made a major reshuffle in the organization to sharpen its electoral strategy. Party President Lalu Prasad Yadav has appointed new presidents for 6 major cells, which is considered an important step towards organizing and strengthening the party's election preparations.

Lalu Yadav Announces New Team

On July 5, Lalu Prasad Yadav, who was elected as the National President of RJD for the 13th consecutive time, announced his new team. By including experienced and new faces in this team, a clear message has been given that RJD is moving forward with the aim of strengthening the organization at the grassroots level and giving representation to every section of the society. The presidents of the six major cells who have been announced in the new RJD team are as follows:

  1. Women's Cell – Former Union Minister Smt. Kanti Singh has been made the President.

Attention Paid to Social Equations

By giving importance to women, youth, students, minorities, Dalit-tribal, and farmer classes in this new RJD team, an attempt has been made to send the message that the party is a representative of the interests of all sections. Party sources say that only by organizing these sections can the Grand Alliance be kept b and united. The organizational reshuffle also clearly reflects that the party wants to fight the upcoming elections with full strategic preparation and social balance.

RJD has already made it clear that Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav will be the Chief Ministerial candidate of the Grand Alliance in the upcoming assembly elections. He is also the chairman of the Coordination Committee of the Grand Alliance and is authorized to take all major decisions related to the elections. The party believes that Tejashwi Yadav's leadership ability and youth appeal make him a natural face for the post of Chief Minister. Along with this, he has also been the Deputy Chief Minister in the previous government, due to which he also has administrative experience.
