RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat: World Leaders Heed PM Modi as India's Global Stature Rises

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat states PM Modi's speeches are heard by world leaders, attributing it to India's growing strength. He also discusses the Sangh's 100-year mission.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat stated that Prime Minister Modi's speeches are carefully listened to by world leaders. He highlighted the Sangh's 100-year journey, the sacrifices of its founder Hedgewar, and India's growing global role.

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat stated on Monday that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks, world leaders listen to him carefully. He attributed this to India's emerging strength and the country gaining its rightful place. Bhagwat made these remarks at an event in Pune commemorating 100 years of the RSS's establishment.

What is the Sangh's Mission

Bhagwat said that no one should think about celebrating jubilees or centenary ceremonies. The main objective should be to complete the given task on time. He stated that the Sangh has always faced challenges and advanced its mission amidst many storms. He added, “The Sangh is now 100 years old, but we must introspect why it took so long to unite the entire society.”

Bhagwat also stated that India's development resolves global problems, reduces conflicts, and establishes peace. He emphasized that this fact is recorded in history, and making it a reality once again is the need of the hour.

Address by the Sangh's Founder

Highlighting the sacrifices of RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, Bhagwat said that the Sangh's volunteers began their journey to accomplish their mission amidst numerous obstacles and challenges. He explained that in the early years of the Sangh, no one could guarantee that their efforts would succeed. Bhagwat stated, “The Sangh's volunteers sowed the seeds of success and paved the way for change by dedicating their lives. We should be grateful to them.”

India's Growing Stature on the Global Stage

Referring to Prime Minister Modi's global recognition, the RSS chief said that world leaders listen to him attentively because India's strength is now manifesting at a level where it is being appropriately recognized and regarded. Bhagwat stated that this situation is an indication of the country's power and its increasing role on the global stage.

Addressing the gathering, Bhagwat mentioned that he was once told the Sangh had arrived 30 years late. He responded that the Sangh had not arrived late; rather, people were beginning to listen to it late. He asserted that when the Sangh talks about dialogue and collective action, it means connecting with the entire society.

Bhagwat said, “Our foundation is based on unity in diversity. We must work together, and for this, 'dharma' is essential. All philosophies of India originated from a single source, and everything is interconnected. Therefore, we must move forward with harmony and unity.”
