Sara Ali Khan was born on August 12, 1995, to Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and actress Amrita Singh. In Kedarnath, released in 2018, she shared the screen with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. 

The film received a good response from the audience and collected ₹66.52 crore. On its opening day, the film earned ₹6.85 crore, which was considered a b start for a debut actress.

'Simmba' Gave the Blockbuster Tag

Sara's career turning point proved to be her second film, Simmba. This action-entertainer film with Ranveer Singh became a blockbuster by doing business of ₹240 crore at the box office. This film gave her the opportunity to work with big banners and big stars. Sara's recent hit films include Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and Sky Force.

  • Zara Hatke Zara Bachke – This romantic-comedy film collected ₹88 crore.
  • Sky Force – This patriotic-based film did business of ₹131 crore.

With these films, the total box office collection of Sara's hit films has reached more than ₹530 crore.

Learned Lessons from Flop Films Too

However, Sara's career is not only made up of hit films. She has also worked in films like Love Aaj Kal, Coolie No. 1, Atrangi Re, Gaslight, Murder Mubarak, and Ae Watan Mere Watan, many of which received a cold response at the box office. Despite this, she showed the courage to work in every genre. Sara's recent film Metro... In Dino released on July 4. The film's lifetime collection has not yet been revealed, but critics have praised Sara's performance in it.

Although Sara comes from the royal Khan family of Bollywood, she has said many times in interviews that she did not use her parents' position to get films. She herself gave auditions and made her place in films on the strength of her hard work.
