Entertainment: A unique case has emerged from the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, where an advocate has lodged a complaint against the company's brand ambassadors, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, among others, following the discovery of technical defects in his car. According to police officials, advocate Kirti Singh (50) stated in his complaint filed at the Mathura Gate police station that he had purchased a Hyundai Alcazar model for ₹23.97 lakh from a dealership in Sonipat, Haryana, in the year 2022.

It is alleged that immediately after purchasing the car, serious technical issues began to surface, particularly concerning acceleration, the engine management system, and speed increase. The complainant claims that these defects repeatedly put his life and the lives of his family members at risk.

Complaint by Advocate from Bharatpur

Kirti Singh, a 50-year-old advocate from Bharatpur, purchased a Hyundai SUV Alcazar from a dealership in Sonipat, Haryana, in 2022, spending approximately ₹23.97 lakh. He alleges that serious technical flaws began to appear in the car immediately after its acquisition. The complaint states that the vehicle would suddenly vibrate, experience acceleration problems, and the engine management system would repeatedly fail. Singh stated that these flaws repeatedly endangered his life and the lives of his family.

The complainant alleges that when he contacted the dealership, he was informed that the problem was indeed related to manufacturing, but instead of a permanent solution, only temporary fixes were suggested. According to him, the car continued to malfunction, causing him significant financial, mental, and physical distress. He also stated that despite not receiving a resolution, he is continuously repaying the car loan.

Why are Shah Rukh and Deepika's names involved?

Kirti Singh also alleged in his complaint that the company was aware of these defects beforehand but did not inform consumers. He stated that to attract consumers, the company appointed prominent stars as brand ambassadors, including Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

According to the complainant, these brand ambassadors' image was used to mislead customers and attempt to sell the car. Therefore, he also included Shah Rukh and Deepika's names in the police complaint. Based on the advocate's complaint, Bharatpur police have registered a case under sections pertaining to fraud, criminal breach of trust, and conspiracy. Officials state that the matter is being investigated and notices will be sent to all relevant parties.
