The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya has decided to launch a special training programme for priests from across the country. The initiative is aimed at promoting structured training in temple worship practices, Vedic rituals and religious traditions. Participants will not be charged any fee, and the Trust will bear the full cost of their accommodation and meals.
The initiative is intended to provide a common platform for priests from different states, where they will receive training in religious rituals, Vedic chanting, worship procedures, temple management and interaction with devotees. The programme is expected to help improve the quality of worship practices and temple management across temples in the country.
During the training programme, experienced acharyas and learned priests will provide instruction on various religious subjects. The curriculum will include guidance on Sanatan traditions, Vedic rites, daily worship procedures, special rituals and aspects related to religious discipline.
The Trust has decided to keep the programme completely free of charge to ensure that no interested priest is excluded from the training due to financial reasons. During the training period, the Trust will also take responsibility for participants' accommodation, meals and other essential arrangements.
It has been stated that detailed information regarding the application process, eligibility criteria, number of batches and duration of the training programme will be issued separately by the Trust. Priests from different states are expected to be included in the programme in phases.
People associated with the religious and cultural sectors have welcomed the initiative, describing it as an important step towards the preservation and promotion of Indian religious traditions. They said such training programmes would provide structured guidance to the new generation of priests and further strengthen worship traditions in temples across the country.
The Trust is currently finalising the plan. After detailed guidelines are issued, interested priests from across the country will be able to participate in the free training programme.
