Siddharthnagar: Recent incidents targeting banks and ATMs in the Itwa area of the district have raised serious questions about security arrangements. Over the past few months, attempts have been made to break into banks and ATMs, causing growing concern among local residents.
In the latest incident, the glass of a private ATM was shattered during the night, damaging the machine. It will only be confirmed after investigation whether any cash was stolen. Previously, an attempt was made to infiltrate a bank branch in the area, but it was thwarted due to security measures.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being examined. Police officials state that night patrols are being increased and special teams have been deployed to search for suspects.
