Sikandar Raza Ascends to World No. 1 in Latest ICC ODI All-Rounder Rankings

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has recently announced fresh changes to the ODI all-rounder rankings. Following a significant shake-up in these rankings, Zimbabwe's formidable all-rounder Sikandar Raza has claimed the top spot.

Sports News: The ICC has released the latest ODI rankings, which reveal a major shift in the Men's ODI All-rounder rankings. Afghanistan's formidable all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai's reign has ended, and he has dropped one place to second position. Additionally, Afghanistan's all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has also lost one position in the rankings, slipping from second to third place.
Sikandar Raza Captures the Top Position

Sikandar Raza has achieved the distinction of becoming the No. 1 all-rounder in ODIs, making a jump of two places. He was rewarded for his outstanding performance in two consecutive matches against Sri Lanka in Harare. In this series, Raza scored two half-centuries and took one wicket, bringing his total rating to 302.

Changes in the Top-10 All-rounder List

  • Azmatullah Omarzai – 296 rating (now in second place)
  • Mohammad Nabi – 292 rating (now in third place)
  • Mehidy Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh – remained in fourth place
  • Michael Bracewell of New Zealand – in fifth place
  • Mitchell Santner – in sixth place
  • Rashid Khan – in seventh place

Meanwhile, Scotland's Brandon McMullen has slipped two places to the 10th position in the top 10. Ravindra Jadeja, despite not playing, has moved up one place and remains in the 9th position.

Changes in Bowling Rankings Too

  • Maheesh Theekshana – slipped from first to second place
  • Ravindra Jadeja – moved up one place to the 8th position
  • Wanindu Hasaranga – dropped one place to 9th position

These changes clearly indicate that the consistency and recent performance of all-rounders and bowlers play a significant role in the rankings. The fall in rankings for Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi has raised questions about Afghanistan's ODI all-round capabilities.
