Exam Dates Announced
The Stenographer Recruitment Exam conducted by SSC will be held on August 6, 7, and 8, 2025, at various examination centers across the country. This examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. It is mandatory to carry the admit card and a valid identity card to participate in the examination.
How to Download Admit Card
If you are appearing for the SSC Stenographer Exam 2025, you can easily download your admit card by following the steps given below:
- First, visit the official website of SSC: ssc.gov.in.
- On the homepage, click on the ‘Admit Card’ section.
- After that, find the ‘Stenographer Grade C & D Admit Card 2025’ link and click on it.
- Now, enter your registration number, password, and captcha code.
- As soon as you click on the login button, your admit card will appear on the screen.
- Now you can download it and take a printout.
Note that no candidate will be sent the admit card by post or email. It can only be downloaded online.
Things to Keep in Mind at the Exam Center
All candidates must reach the examination center before the reporting time. Make sure to carry the following documents with you:
- A printed copy of the admit card
- A valid photo identity card (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, etc.)
- Entry to the examination hall will not be permitted without the admit card and identity card.
Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme
The SSC Stenographer 2025 exam will have a total of 200 questions, which will be worth 200 marks. All these questions will be multiple-choice based, and the duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: 50 questions
- General Awareness: 50 questions
- English Language and Comprehension: 100 questions
For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded, while there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
Skill Test in the Next Stage
Candidates who obtain the minimum prescribed marks in this written examination will be called for a skill test. The skill test will assess the candidate's shorthand and typing abilities. Passing this is essential, as the final selection will be based on merit and the skill test.
Bringing any type of electronic device such as mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, etc., to the examination center is prohibited. It is necessary to follow all the rules at the examination center.
