Ramchet, a cobbler residing in Dhesarua village of **Sultanpur**, passed away on Tuesday morning due to illness. He had been suffering from cancer and TB for a long time. Upon receiving the news of his demise, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed deep condolences and assured his family of all possible assistance.
According to information, Rahul Gandhi had a special meeting with Ramchet during his visit to Sultanpur. At that time, Rahul praised his work and arranged for a new sewing machine and essential supplies for him, so that he could continue his livelihood. Impressed by his craftsmanship, Ramchet had also handcrafted shoes for Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
Expressing profound grief over his passing, Rahul Gandhi stated that the party would continue to assist his family. A delegation of Congress workers visited the village and also provided financial assistance to the family.
