UP Minister Swatantra Dev Singh Assesses Flood Damage in Jalaun, Assures Relief

Uttar Pradesh's Minister of Jal Shakti (Water Power), Swatantra Dev Singh, visited flood-affected areas in the Orai region of Jalaun district on Sunday. He assessed the situation, directly interacted with flood victims, and listened to their problems. The minister held a meeting with district administration officials to review relief and rescue operations. He gave clear instructions that there should be no negligence in the supply of relief materials, arrangement of shelters, and delivery of assistance to those in need.

Conducted On-Site Inspection of Rampura and Kalpi Areas

Swatantra Dev Singh arrived at the Police Line ground by helicopter, where District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey and Superintendent of Police Durgesh Kumar welcomed him. Following this, the minister held a meeting with administrative officials to gather information on the flood situation. After the meeting, he visited the most affected areas of Rampura and Kalpi. There, he conducted an on-site inspection of the relief efforts and instructed officials to ensure timely provision of food, clean drinking water, medicines, and safe shelter facilities.

The Government Stands with You at Every Step

The minister stated that the Yogi government stands with the flood victims and will provide them with all possible assistance. He assured them that the government's priority is to ensure that no family feels helpless. He also directed officials to shift people from waterlogged areas to safe locations as soon as possible and to expedite the assessment of damages and distribution of compensation.

Minister Assured Relief

Villagers from the Rampura area informed the minister that their homes and fields had been submerged due to the floods, causing them economic and mental distress. The villagers requested immediate relief from the government. The minister assured them that all those affected would receive relief and that the government is fully committed to working towards their rehabilitation. Senior district administration officials and local representatives were also present during the inspection.
