Discussions on seat-sharing between the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) are ongoing, but amidst this, Tej Pratap Yadav has prepared for a b entry into state politics through his new party, 'Janshakti Janta Dal'.

Tej Pratap Yadav stated in a conversation with the media on Tuesday that his party is fully prepared for the state's electoral arena. He also clarified that his party would release the list of candidates on Wednesday (October 8, 2025). Through this list, the party will make it clear which candidates will contest from which assembly constituency.

Janshakti Janta Dal's Aim is Not Merely Power - Tej Pratap

Tej Pratap Yadav said, "We are entering the electoral fray not merely for power, but to give Bihar a new direction and a better future. Our party will prioritize the state's development, opportunities for youth, and education and employment." According to him, the other parties allied with his party will run b election campaigns across all seats in the state. The objective is not just to win elections, but to bring about a change in the political direction of the state.

It should be noted that Tej Pratap Yadav was expelled from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for six years by his father and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. Following family and party disputes, Tej Pratap formed his new party, 'Janshakti Janta Dal'. According to political analysts, this move is an attempt to establish his independent identity, and it remains to be seen how influential he proves to be in the upcoming assembly elections.

Preparing to Contest from Mahua Assembly Seat

In the last assembly elections in 2020, Tej Pratap Yadav contested and won from the Hasanpur seat on an RJD ticket. However, this time he has announced that he will contest from the Mahua assembly seat. Mukesh Roshan of the RJD is currently the MLA from the Mahua seat. Tej Pratap Yadav is continuously touring the area and trying to prove his representational capabilities by interacting with the public. He is also organizing public outreach programs in various regions.

Experts say that the election could be challenging for Tej Pratap Yadav's party. The new party will try to establish its foothold amidst b political forces like the Mahagathbandhan and the NDA.
