Tejashwi Yadav Accuses BJP and Election Commission of Voter Fraud in Bihar

Tejashwi Yadav has leveled serious allegations against the Election Commission and the BJP, claiming that the Mayor of Muzaffarpur and her brother-in-law possess two voter IDs each, raising questions about electoral transparency.

Bihar Voter List: Political rhetoric has intensified in Bihar ahead of the assembly elections. Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has made serious allegations against the Election Commission and the BJP, stating that "vote robbery" is taking place in the state. He claimed that Nirmala Devi, the Mayor of Muzaffarpur, and her brother-in-law possess two EPIC, or Voter ID cards, within the same assembly constituency. Tejashwi described this matter as dangerous for democracy and electoral transparency.

Accusations of the Election Commission acting at the behest of the BJP

During a media interaction at his residence, 1, Polo Road, Tejashwi Yadav stated that there are serious flaws in the SIR (Special Revision) process. According to him, the Election Commission is acting at the behest of the BJP, creating an environment of "vote robbery." He mentioned that several cases related to SIR are currently pending in the Supreme Court.

Mention of the 2020 Election and Allegations of Defeat

Referring to the 2020 assembly elections, Tejashwi said that his party lost by a mere margin of 12,000 votes at that time. He alleged that he was deliberately defeated in at least 10 seats. According to him, previously the BJP used agencies like ED and CBI, but now the Election Commission has become their new weapon.

Controversy over Muzaffarpur Mayor's Voter ID

Tejashwi Yadav has made serious allegations against Nirmala Devi, the Mayor of Muzaffarpur, who is associated with the BJP. He stated that Nirmala Devi possesses two EPIC IDs within the same assembly constituency. Furthermore, her brother-in-law also possesses two EPIC IDs. Tejashwi claims that this is a direct violation of electoral rules and immediate action should be taken on this.

Accusations of Declaring Selected Voters "Untraceable" and "Deceased"

Tejashwi made another significant allegation, stating that many genuine voters are declared "untraceable" or "deceased" in the electoral list. This automatically removes their vote from the list. However, no action is taken against BJP-affiliated leaders who possess two voter IDs.

Questions Regarding Press Conference

Tejashwi also said that the BJP has become silent since this revelation. He questioned the Election Commission as to why a press conference has not been held on this matter so far. According to him, this double standard is a direct attack on the transparency of the election.
