Trump News: US President Donald Trump has once again made a significant decision. He has appointed Jared Isaacman, a close associate and ally of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, as the head of NASA. This is the same position from which Trump had previously removed him. Reassigning this responsibility to Isaacman, Trump stated that he is an excellent business leader, pilot, and astronaut. His experience will strengthen the space economy and enhance understanding of the universe's mysteries.
Relationship Between Trump and Musk
Reports of public disagreements between Donald Trump and Elon Musk have surfaced multiple times. Despite this, Trump has taken a step this time that is being viewed as a decision with political and space program implications.
Jared Takes Charge of NASA
Now, the command of NASA will be in Jared Isaacman's hands. Jared himself shared this information on the social media platform X. He posted a picture with Trump and wrote that he is ready for this responsibility.
Previously Removed from Position

It is noteworthy that when relations between Trump and Musk soured, Trump removed Jared from his NASA position during that period. Sean Duffy, the US Secretary of Transportation, was appointed as NASA's interim chairman in his place. Now, Trump has once again given the same position back to Isaacman.
Trump's Official Statement
Trump said on social media, “I am pleased to appoint Jared Isaacman as NASA's Administrator. He is an excellent business leader, pilot, and astronaut.”
He further added that Isaacman's passion and experience in space will be instrumental in advancing NASA in major missions. However, this appointment will only be formally implemented after receiving congressional approval, and currently, Trump's party holds the majority.
Jared's Connection to Musk
After Trump assumed power in January 2025, Jared Isaacman was entrusted with the leadership of NASA on the advice of Elon Musk. Jared is considered a close associate of Musk.
In 2021, he led the first civilian capsule crew mission for Musk's SpaceX company. It is now believed that Jared could play a significant role in NASA's upcoming Mars mission.
