United States President Donald Trump said the United States would “win under all circumstances” in the ongoing tensions involving Iran and warned that Tehran would either reach an agreement or face serious consequences. Trump said the United States has all military and diplomatic options available to manage the situation.
Trump made the remarks before departing for a visit to China, where he is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.
According to reports, the United States has incurred significant expenditure linked to tensions and military activities involving Iran. Over a period of approximately 74 days, US spending reportedly reached $29 billion. The expenditure was primarily directed toward weapons and military equipment, while damage to war-related infrastructure and bases was not included in the figure.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has sought additional defense funding in Congress, stating that the United States needs greater investment to maintain global military strength.
The US-Iran tensions have also affected global energy markets. Crude oil prices have risen by more than 3%, with gains recorded in both Brent crude and WTI benchmarks, contributing to increased volatility in global markets.
The US government has also decided to release 53.3 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to address supply concerns and control prices.
Tensions have also increased around the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps declared the area a 500-kilometre “operation zone.” Analysts said the move could pose risks to global oil supplies because the region is one of the world’s key oil transit routes.

Debate has intensified internationally over the role of Pakistan. Some reports have claimed that Pakistan allowed Iranian military aircraft to use its airbases, although there has been no official confirmation.
US leaders, including Senator Lindsey Graham, have called for a review of Pakistan’s role if the allegations are proven correct. Trump, meanwhile, praised Pakistan’s mediation efforts and said the country was playing a positive role in US-Iran talks.
During Trump’s visit to China, the Iran crisis is expected to remain a key issue. Discussions with Xi Jinping are likely to include trade, the Iran conflict and the Strait of Hormuz situation.
China has also called for intensified diplomatic efforts to maintain regional stability and has urged Pakistan to expand mediation efforts.
Iran has warned that if it faces another attack, it could increase uranium enrichment to 90%, raising concerns over a possible escalation of the nuclear issue.
At the same time, Israel carried out several airstrikes in southern Lebanon, further increasing regional tensions.
Analysts said the developments extend beyond military confrontation and are also affecting global energy, trade and diplomatic balances. They said upcoming discussions between the United States and China could influence the direction of the crisis.
The situation remains fluid, with potential implications for international politics and global energy markets in the coming days.
