Ajmer: A 'chadar' (sacred cloth) was offered at the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah in Ajmer on behalf of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Aaditya Thackeray. Sajid Supariwala, the party's vice-president, arrived directly at the dargah from Mumbai, carrying the Thackeray family's message of devotion, and reiterated the family's faith in Khwaja Garib Nawaz.
A special 'chadar' was offered by Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) chief Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray at the world-renowned Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah in Ajmer, Rajasthan. This 'chadar' was brought from Mumbai to Ajmer by Sajid Supariwala, the Maharashtra vice-president of the party, on behalf of the Thackeray family. Supariwala stated that the Thackeray family has deep faith in Khwaja Garib Nawaz, and it is a tradition for the family to send a 'chadar' every year.
He also mentioned that Aaditya Thackeray has visited the dargah before and has a special connection with its spiritual atmosphere. This offering, made before the BMC elections, is considered politically significant, although the family describes it merely as an act of faith and tradition.
Chain of Prayers Continues
Upon arrival at the Ajmer Dargah, the 'chadar' sent by the Thackeray family was given a special 'ziarat' (pilgrimage ritual) by Syed Aman Chishti and was placed on the 'Mazar Sharif' (sacred tomb) as per tradition. On this occasion, the 'khadims' (caretakers) of the dargah prayed for the well-being of the Thackeray family, Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction), and the prosperity of the state.
Pilgrims present in the dargah complex also raised their hands in prayer and wished for the safety and political strength of the Thackeray family. Local people stated that a 'chadar' sent with such devotion is always accepted with special respect.
Prayers for Political Success
According to Sajid Supariwala, Maharashtra's upcoming political phase is extremely decisive, and at such a time, the Thackeray family has sent a 'chadar' to the dargah, praying for the party's bright future and stability. He states that the Thackeray family has always believed that they receive guidance and blessings from Khwaja Saheb's Dargah.
People associated with the dargah also confirmed that the Thackeray family's connection is not new. For years, a 'chadar' has been offered by the family, and Syed Aman Chishti stated that given their devotion, the 'chadar' is respectfully placed on the 'Mazar Sharif' every time.
