After several days of torrential rains, the pace of rainfall has slowed down in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is not expected in the state for the next three days, starting August 26th. During this period, light rain is expected in some districts of Western UP, while humidity may increase in the eastern and central parts.
Lucknow: The continuous rainfall in Uttar Pradesh (UP Weather Update) over the past week provided relief from the scorching heat, but its effect now appears to be waning. According to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is no possibility of heavy rainfall in the state for the next three days. However, light to moderate showers may be seen in some districts of Western and Eastern UP.
With the cessation of rainfall, humidity and sticky heat have once again started troubling people. The situation may become even more difficult in areas where waterlogging and moisture persist.
Trouble Increases with Humidity in Several Districts as Rain Subsides
The downpour has taken a break in the state from August 26th. The Meteorological Department has stated that the maximum temperature in the northern and central parts of UP may fall by 2-3 degrees in the next 24 hours. However, after that, there will be a gradual increase of 3-4 degrees.
This will directly affect the humidity. Moisture during the day and sticky heat at night will trouble people. This will have the greatest impact on those districts where waterlogging occurred due to heavy rains in recent days.
Rain Expected in These Districts of UP Today
In Western UP today, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in several districts including Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Noida, Hapur, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Bulandshahr, and Moradabad.
In Eastern UP, clouds may also shower in districts like Varanasi, Mirzapur, Chandauli, and Sonbhadra. In addition, drizzle may be seen in Lucknow, Barabanki, Prayagraj, and surrounding areas.
Less Rainfall in These Districts of UP
Only light showers may occur in one or two places in several districts including Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Mainpuri, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Kanpur, Unnao, Chitrakoot, and Gorakhpur. The day temperature will be high in these districts, and humidity will not allow people to get relief.
Experts believe that this lull in the monsoon is temporary. The weather may change once again from August 30th, and torrential rains may return to many districts.
Relief News for Farmers
Farmers may be slightly concerned due to the slowdown in rainfall. The need for water remains constant in paddy transplanting areas. However, the Meteorological Department says that the rainfall returning after August 30th will be very beneficial for the crops.
According to meteorologists, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in many parts of UP in early September. In such a situation, farmers can be assured about the availability of water during this period.
Rain Will Start Again from August 30th
Rain will be weak on August 27th and 28th, and showers will occur only in a few places. The weather will remain normal until August 29th. But from August 30th, monsoon activity will increase, and b rainfall can be seen in many districts of Eastern and Western UP.
While this will provide relief to the farmers, the problem of waterlogging may arise again in the cities. The administration has appealed to people to remain vigilant.
