Uttar Pradesh Women's Commission Chair Demands Death Penalty for Accused in Forced Conversion Case

Babita Chauhan, the chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Women's Commission, demanded on Monday strict action and the death penalty for Changur Baba of Balrampur. Changur Baba is accused of targeting girls from various communities, preparing a 'rate list,' and forcibly converting them. This case has caused widespread protest and outrage in the state. Babita Chauhan stated that those who break the trust of innocent girls and deceive them are enemies of society and should be punished severely.

Babita Chauhan's Strong Statement

The chairperson of the Women's Commission described the entire matter as a pre-planned conspiracy and said that our daughters are not a laboratory for the poisonous ideology of forced religious conversion. She appealed to the administration to take strict action against such criminals so that such incidents do not happen again in society. She said, "Our daughters should be safe; this should be our first priority." This case has ignited a new debate regarding religious conversion and the safety of women.

Increasing Social Awareness and Appeal to Women

Babita Chauhan also praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the strict laws enacted in the state to prevent illegal conversions. At the same time, she urged society to break its silence against this social evil and raise their voices together. She made a special appeal to all women in the state to unite and raise their voices against such dangerous conspiracies.

Arrest of Changur Baba and His Associate

Changur Baba, a resident of Madhpur, Balrampur district, and his associate Neetu alias Nasreen, have been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police's Anti-Terrorism Squad. A non-bailable warrant had already been issued against Changur Baba by the court, and a cash reward of Rs 50,000 was announced for his arrest. This arrest is considered a major success in the ongoing action against illegal conversions, which will help prevent such incidents in the future.
