Chief Minister Dhami stated that these youth, who have returned after serving the nation, are the pride of the state, and it is the government's responsibility to provide them with respect and employment opportunities.

Regulations Issued – Paving the Way for Employment

On Monday, the Personnel and Vigilance Department formally issued the "Horizontal Reservation Regulations for Recruitment in Uniformed Posts of Group C in Uttarakhand State Services – 2025". According to these regulations, retired Agniveers will now be able to avail employment in Police Constable (Civil/PAC), Sub-Inspector, Platoon Commander PAC, Fireman, Jailor, Deputy Jailer, Forest Constable, Forest Ranger, Excise Constable, Enforcement Constable, Secretariat Guard, and Tiger Protection Force. This will ensure job security for them and strengthen their contribution to uniformed positions in the state.

Major Decisions for Martyr Families

Along with providing reservations to Agniveers, the state government has also taken significant steps for the families of martyred soldiers and brave martyrs. The ex-gratia amount provided to the families of martyred soldiers has now been increased from ₹10 lakh to ₹50 lakh. For the families of Paramvir Chakra awardees, this amount has been increased from ₹50 lakh to ₹1.5 crore. Furthermore, a path has been cleared for providing government jobs to one member of brave martyr families. This decision has been taken with the aim of providing respect and financial security to martyr families.

Military Dham Construction Completed

To uphold the state's glorious military tradition, the Uttarakhand government has completed the construction of the fifth Military Dham in Dehradun. This Dham will connect future generations with tales of bravery and preserve the state's military tradition. Chief Minister Dhami stated that this Dham will become a center of military reverence for the state and will always keep the sagas of valor alive.

Inspiration for Youth to Join the Army

Experts believe that this decision will further enhance the inspiration for youth to join the army. With the guarantee of government jobs for retired Agniveers, more youth will be encouraged to join the Agniveer Scheme. The Chief Minister appealed to the youth to make the most of this opportunity and contribute to carrying forward the state's glorious military tradition.
