Uttarakhand CM Promotes 'Adopt Swadeshi' Campaign in Dehradun

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led the 'Adopt Swadeshi' (Buy Indian) campaign in Paltan Bazaar, Dehradun. He conveyed a message to citizens and traders to increase the use of local products, strengthen a self-reliant India, and support employment generation.

Uttrakhand: The 'Adopt Swadeshi' campaign was launched with great enthusiasm in Paltan Bazaar, Dehradun, on Wednesday. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led this public awareness campaign and encouraged citizens, traders, and voluntary organizations to use Swadeshi (Indian-made) products as much as possible. The Chief Minister said that adopting Swadeshi is not just an economic decision, but a national duty of every citizen.

Objective of the Campaign

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that this campaign is a b effort to convey Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India) and 'Vocal for Local' to the masses. He said that if we prioritize goods manufactured in our country, it will not only strengthen the country's economic condition but also increase local employment opportunities.

Dhami appealed to people to prioritize Swadeshi products during festivals, for gifting, and in daily life. He said that this would strengthen both India's economy and local industries.

"Adopting Swadeshi is a National Duty"

During the program, the Chief Minister emphasized that adopting Swadeshi is not just an economic decision. It is also patriotism and a national responsibility. He said that "Adopt Swadeshi, strengthen the country" is not just a slogan, but a guideline for making our country self-reliant.

He also urged traders to put up signs with the name 'Swadeshi' in their shops, which would instill a sense of trust and pride in consumers towards Swadeshi products. The Chief Minister said that by using Swadeshi products, India's money will remain in the country and our economy will be strengthened.

Participation of Local Traders and Citizens

While visiting the shops in Paltan Bazaar, the Chief Minister affixed stickers with the slogan "Adopt Swadeshi - Strengthen the Nation." He encouraged traders to give prominence to Swadeshi options in their products. Local youth, trade unions, and voluntary organizations also actively participated in the campaign on this occasion.

The crowd supported the campaign by chanting slogans like "Adopt Swadeshi - Save the Country." Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, along with several public representatives, were present at the event.

Contribution to Building a Self-Reliant India

The Chief Minister said that adopting Swadeshi is not just a market need, but it also strengthens our cultural identity and the resolution of a self-reliant India. He urged all citizens to prioritize Swadeshi products during festivals and special occasions.

Dhami also stated that supporting local artisans and small industries will strengthen their economic condition and provide new employment opportunities for the youth. He said that if we all adopt Swadeshi together, India will become even ber on the global stage.

Role of Organizations

The role of traders and voluntary organizations was significant in the program. They gave their support to Chief Minister Dhami and ensured that Swadeshi products would be promoted in the market. The traders also pledged that they would create awareness among customers by putting up Swadeshi names and promotional materials in the shops. Voluntary organizations participated in the publicity of the campaign and provided information to local citizens about the importance of Swadeshi products.
