Vi Launches 5G Services in Jaipur, India

Vi has launched its 5G service in Jaipur, offering users free high-speed internet. This service is available on plans of ₹299 or higher and can be accessed with a 5G smartphone.

Vi 5G: Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, known for its majestic history, colorful streets, and attractive tourist destinations, has now joined the pace of Digital India. Vodafone Idea (Vi) has finally launched its 5G services in Jaipur. This will allow not only local citizens but also a large number of tourists to benefit from high-speed internet.

Vi's 5G Launch: Late but a Strong Entry

Although Jio and Airtel have already started their 5G services in many cities in India, Vi has strategically chosen cities where the number of smartphone users is growing rapidly and the demand for internet is high. Jaipur is one such city, where the scope of digital services is continuously expanding. Vi's 5G launch comes at a time when the company is gradually moving towards strengthening its hold across India. The company has already launched 5G services in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Mysore, Patna, and Nagpur.

What does 5G mean in Jaipur?

5G technology is not just a fast internet connection, it proves to be the backbone of many smart services. Through this:

  • Live streaming will be buffer-free,
  • High-speed downloading will be possible in a few seconds,
  • Features like video calling and cloud gaming will provide a great experience,
  • Smart city projects will gain momentum,
  • And the tourism department will get a new boost in digital promotion.

Free Unlimited 5G Data Initially

Vi has played a big bet to attract customers in the initial phase. Customers who recharge with ₹299 and above are being given unlimited 5G data absolutely free. This offer is similar to Airtel and Jio's free launch strategy, which attempts to connect customers with technology through experience.

What is 5G NSA Network?

Vi is currently offering its services on the 5G NSA (Non-Standalone) network. This means that it works in conjunction with the 4G infrastructure, allowing most existing devices to support this service. That is, users will not need to buy a new SIM; only a 5G-enabled smartphone is sufficient.

Vi's Step Towards the Future

Vi's Operations Director, Shailendra Singh, said, "We are extremely excited to launch our 5G services in a prosperous and rapidly digitizing city like Jaipur. Our aim is not only to strengthen our network but also to provide better experiences and more options to our customers." He further added that Vi is working on a plan to extend the 5G network to 23 cities in the next few months. This expansion is part of the company's strategy, which focuses on Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities.

What does the Telecom Industry Say?

Telecom experts believe that this step by Vi is a serious attempt towards the company's return to the market. Despite continuous losses and limited funding, the company appears committed to 5G technology. If Vi maintains its network stable and fast, it can give a reasonable challenge to companies like Jio and Airtel.
