Volvo XC60 Facelift Launched in India with Enhanced Features and Design

Volvo Car India has re-introduced its premium mid-size SUV, the XC60, to the Indian market with a fresh new look. The company has launched the facelift version of this vehicle, with an ex-showroom price of INR 71.90 lakh. This car has been refreshed approximately three years after the launch of the current generation. The car had already made its debut in the global market a few months ago.

Refreshed Look: The SUV Appears More Premium Than Before

In the facelift version, Volvo has made some cosmetic changes that give it a more premium and modern look. The front now features a new grille with a diagonal slat design. The front bumper has also been redesigned, enhancing the SUV's road presence. Additionally, it features newly designed alloy wheels that further accentuate its sporty appeal.

At the rear, the tail lights have also been refreshed and given a smoked finish, which makes the rear profile quite stylish.

Significant Cabin Updates: Now Features a Larger Touchscreen System

The biggest change in the interior of the Volvo XC60 facelift is its infotainment system. It now features a larger 11.2-inch touchscreen display, which runs on a Google-based system. This system comes with Google Maps, Google Assistant, and several other applications pre-integrated. The system is not only fast but also user-friendly.

Additionally, the car features luxury amenities like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Nappa leather upholstery, and massaging front seats, making it even more special in its class.

New Color Schemes Enhance the Look

Volvo has also introduced some new color options with this facelift model. Two new shades, Forest Lake and Mulberry Red, have been added. Besides these, popular existing colors like Crystal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Bright Dusk, and Vapour Grey will also be available. This gives customers more choices and makes it easier to select an SUV according to their preference.

Same Engine, but Powerful Performance

While there have been several changes in design and features, the company has not made any changes to the powertrain. The Volvo XC60 facelift continues to be powered by the same 2.0-liter 48V mild-hybrid turbo petrol engine. This engine generates approximately 250 bhp of power and 360 Nm of torque.

The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, which makes driving smoother and more powerful. The 48-volt mild-hybrid system provides extra support during drives and helps in increasing fuel efficiency.

Special Focus on Driving Experience and Comfort

Volvo has always prioritized safety and comfort in its cars. This remains true for the XC60 facelift. The car's ride quality is excellent, the suspension system effectively absorbs shocks, and it provides a comfortable experience for the occupants.

The massaging seats are comfortable for long journeys, while features like multi-zone climate control, heads-up display, wireless charging, and a premium audio system make this SUV even more impressive.

Abundance of Safety Features

Volvo cars have always been at the top in terms of safety. This is evident in the XC60 facelift as well. It comes with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, automatic emergency braking, traction control, and many other safety features.

Volvo's Strategy

Considering the increasing competition in the SUV segment in the Indian market, this facelift launch by Volvo is considered a significant step. The company's focus is on introducing environmentally friendly, safe, and technologically advanced cars. The XC60 facelift is also a part of this strategy, offering a balance of performance and luxury.
