A New Milestone in Privacy and Security
X Chat has been designed for completely secure messaging. All chats, whether text or media files, will be end-to-end encrypted. This means that no third party, other than the sender and receiver, will be able to view the messages.
Group chats and media files will also be secure, while some metadata, such as recipient information, will not be encrypted. Arattai and other apps do not yet offer full encryption, which puts X Chat ahead in terms of privacy.
Advanced Features and Ease of Use
In X Chat, users can edit or completely delete messages. Unlike WhatsApp, a "This message was deleted" notification will not appear. Additionally, features like screenshot blocking and notifications further strengthen privacy.
Moreover, X Chat will display both old DMs and new chats in a single inbox. Voice memo support is also coming soon. Currently, the app is available on iOS and web and will be launched for Android users soon as well.
Musk's Vision and Future Plans
Elon Musk posted on X, stating that X Chat is a new communication stack that includes features like encrypted chat, audio-video calls, and file transfers. He also hinted that X Money would be launched soon, aiming to transform X into an "everything app."
This new platform could pose a challenge to apps like WhatsApp and Arattai, especially for users who prefer secure and ad-free messaging.
