Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken strict action against actions based on caste and religion. Considering a controversial order issued by the Panchayati Raj Department as a serious administrative lapse, the Chief Minister has ordered the immediate suspension of Joint Director SN Singh. The order directed action to remove illegal encroachments from Gram Sabha land, linking it to the Yadav caste and the Muslim community.
The Chief Minister termed the order discriminatory and unacceptable and issued instructions for its immediate cancellation. He clearly stated that such thinking is against the policies of the government and divisive for society, which will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This action has created a stir in administrative circles.
Such Mistakes Will Not Be Tolerated in the Future
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave a stern warning to officials that such lapses should not happen again. He clarified that action against illegal encroachments should be completely impartial, lawful, and based on facts, and not on the basis of any caste or religion. He also reiterated that the government is fully committed to the principles of social harmony, equality, and justice.
Yogi said that the policies of the government cannot be motivated by prejudice against any class, community, or individual. He also added that the government prioritizes the constitution and the fundamental spirit of justice, and is committed to providing security to every person with equal rights.
Targeted the Opposition in Saharanpur Too
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also clarified his stance on this issue in Saharanpur on August 4. He launched a scathing attack on opposition parties Congress and Samajwadi Party, saying that these parties are troubled by the increasing glory of Sanatan Dharma. Yogi alleged that previous governments used to protect terrorists and tried to weaken India's spiritual heritage.
He claimed that the BJP's double engine government has not only ended the neglect of the region, but has also started a new chapter of development and cultural preservation. Yogi's statement is being seen as a major political attack on the opposition.
