Dehradun: Due to heavy rainfall in the Nanda ki Chowki area of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, the Tons river experienced a significant surge. During this time, a young man got trapped in the floodwaters and climbed an electric pole to save his life. A video of this incident went viral on social media. The SDRF team, after strenuous efforts, safely rescued the youth.

How the Young Man Got Trapped

In the video that went viral on social media, the young man could be seen hanging from the electric pole for several hours. Below him, the ferocious waves of the Tons river presented a terrifying scene. Local residents gathered at the spot and promptly informed the rescue team.

As soon as the SDRF team arrived at the scene, they initiated a rescue operation. People continued to record videos from the location, while waiting for the man to be helped. To save the young man's life, the team used wires and ropes, gradually bringing him to safety on the bank.

Young Man Rescued Due to SDRF's Bravery

During the rescue operation, onlookers standing on the riverbank applauded the bravery of the rescue team. After lifting the young man to a safe place using wires, the public praised the rescuers. The SDRF stated that immense patience and composure were required during the operation, as rescuing amidst b currents and at night was challenging.

According to eyewitnesses, the young man maintained his composure despite being very scared and anxious. The team managed to drag him safely to the shore. This action brought a sense of relief and joy among the people in the area.
