Bollywood actress Zareen Khan has been away from the big screen for a while, but there was a time when she was a regular presence in films. Zareen made her Bollywood debut in 2010 with Salman Khan's film 'Veer'.
Zareen Khan Shocking Revelation on Aksar 2: Bollywood actress Zareen Khan is once again in the headlines. This time, the reason isn't a film or her glamorous look, but a shocking revelation. Years later, Zareen Khan has made a big statement about her film 'Aksar 2'. She has said that she was deceived and forced to do bold and intimate scenes in this film.
Zareen Khan says that before signing the film, she had clearly asked director Anant Mahadevan that there would be no intimate scenes in the film. But when the shooting started, she was made to do 'kiss scenes' in every scene. This statement by Zareen is now going viral on social media, and people are questioning the way the film industry works.
Zareen Khan's Pain: 'I didn't want to be typecast'
In a recent interview, Zareen Khan spoke openly about the injustice and deceit she faced. Zareen said that she wanted to distance herself from films like 'Hate Story 3' after which she was only taken for intimate scenes. She said, I didn't want people to remember me only for bold scenes. So, before agreeing to 'Aksar 2', I had made it clear to the director that there would be no excessive boldness in the film. Zareen says that the director assured her that this film would not be like 'Hate Story' and that there would be no forced intimate scenes.
The script changed during the shooting, every scene became a kiss scene
Zareen Khan said that when the shooting started, the situation looked different. When I went to the set, there was a new surprise in every other scene. Whatever the scene was, after that it was said - now kiss here. I was feeling very strange. I had done a film like 'Hate Story 3' before, but everything was already clear in that film that these scenes would happen. I was not deceived there. But in 'Aksar 2', they were trying to get me to do something new every time.
Zareen says that she was repeatedly told that this was the producers' pressure. Director Anant Mahadevan himself used to come to her and say that all this was being done at the behest of the producers.
Relationships soured with producers, wasn't invited to the film's premiere
Zareen Khan says that the impact of the tug-of-war between the director and the producers fell on her. The director used to say one thing to me and something else in front of the producers. I gradually understood everything. I was being proved wrong in front of the producers. Gradually everyone moved away from me. The controversy escalated to such an extent that I was not invited to the premiere of my own film.
According to Zareen Khan, this was the worst experience of her career. She said, the name of the film was 'Aksar', the first film had Emraan Hashmi, it was a hit franchise. I thought this project would be right. But I was completely deceived.
Zareen Khan says - I am not a 'Pakeezah' or 'Sati-Savitri', but I don't tolerate deceit
Zareen Khan said that she is not claiming that she is a 'Sati-Savitri' or that she cannot do intimate scenes. I did a film like 'Hate Story 3'. But everything was decided in advance in that, it was done with my consent. But in 'Aksar 2', it was first said that nothing like this would happen and later something new was added to every scene. Forcing things is wrong. That's why I protested.
Zareen Khan said that in Bollywood, once someone does a bold scene, they get typecast. If you do a bold role in a film, then the same offers start coming. I never liked this thinking. After 'Hate Story 3', I wanted to do something different, but what happened in 'Aksar 2' was a shock for me.
