Zubeen Garg Death Case: Band member Shekhar Jyoti Goswami has made a shocking revelation regarding the death of famous singer Zubeen Garg in Singapore. He alleged that manager Siddharth Sharma and festival organizer Shyamkanu Mahanta poisoned him and conspired to make his death appear as an accident. The incident occurred during scuba diving on September 19, 2025. The Assam government has formed a one-member judicial commission, headed by Gauhati High Court Justice Soumitra Saikia, to investigate the case, which will submit its report within six months.

Band Member Makes Shocking Revelations

Shekhar Jyoti Goswami has been taken into police custody in connection with Zubeen Garg's death. During interrogation, he stated that Zubeen was poisoned by his manager Siddharth Sharma and the organizer of the North East India Festival, Shyamkanu Mahanta. He claims that a plan was orchestrated to present the singer's death as an accident.

On September 19, 2025, Zubeen Garg was injured during scuba diving and died during treatment. Shekhar alleged that Zubeen Garg was a trained swimmer and, despite his abilities, was forced to drown. He claims that poison was used, and a foreign location was chosen to carry out the incident.

Scene of Incident and Suspicious Conduct

At the time of the incident, Zubeen Garg was gasping for breath. Shekhar stated that Siddharth Sharma did not help the singer, saying "Jabo de, Jabo de" (Let him go, let him go). He directly took control of the boat and started driving it dangerously. Shekhar alleged that the rocking of the boat created a serious danger for the singer.

Furthermore, foam was coming out of Zubeen's mouth and nose, which Siddharth Sharma attributed to acid reflux, delaying necessary medical assistance. During this time, other people also remained confused, and no one received accurate information.

Police and CID Investigation

For the investigation into Zubeen Garg's death, Assam Police have arrested the festival organizer, manager, and two band members, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Amritprabha Mahanta, sending them to 14-day police custody. A nine-member CID Special Investigation Team (SIT) is active in Singapore to investigate this case.

According to SIT sources, Shekhar's statement revealed that a plan was devised to portray the death as an accident. The document mentions that the conduct of those involved in Zubeen Garg's death was suspicious, and a foreign location was deliberately chosen to conceal the incident.
