Five of the Sensex's top 10 companies saw their market capitalization decline by ₹93,357 crore. Infosys incurred a loss of ₹44,226 crore, and TCS lost ₹35,800 crore. Reliance's market cap fell by ₹2,300 crore.

Stock Market: The stock market witnessed a downturn last week, resulting in a collective decrease of ₹93,357.52 crore in the market capitalization of five of the top ten Sensex companies. IT giants Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) suffered the most significant losses during this period.

Impact of the Stock Market Decline

The BSE's 30-share Sensex fell by 503.67 points or 0.68% last week, while the NSE's Nifty declined by 155.3 points or 0.69%. The market was closed on Friday due to Holi, impacting trading activities.

Companies that Incurred Losses

Last week, Infosys, TCS, Hindustan Unilever, State Bank of India (SBI), and Reliance Industries experienced a decline in their market cap.

- Infosys's market capitalization decreased by ₹44,226.62 crore, settling at ₹6,55,820.48 crore.
- TCS's market cap fell by ₹35,800.98 crore, reaching ₹12,70,798.97 crore, dropping it to third place in the top-10 list.
- Hindustan Unilever's market value decreased by ₹6,567.11 crore, reaching ₹5,11,235.81 crore.
- State Bank of India (SBI)'s market cap fell by ₹4,462.31 crore, reaching ₹6,49,489.22 crore.
- Reliance Industries' valuation saw a decrease of ₹2,300.50 crore, settling at ₹16,88,028.20 crore.

Companies that Made Profits

While some companies suffered significant losses, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, ITC, Bajaj Finance, and Bharti Airtel registered profits.

- ICICI Bank's market capitalization increased by ₹25,459.16 crore, reaching ₹8,83,202.19 crore.
- HDFC Bank's market cap rose by ₹12,591.60 crore, reaching ₹13,05,169.99 crore.
- ITC's market standing increased by ₹10,073.34 crore, reaching ₹5,15,366.68 crore.
- Bajaj Finance's valuation increased by ₹911.22 crore, reaching ₹5,21,892.47 crore.
- Bharti Airtel's market cap increased by ₹798.30 crore, reaching ₹9,31,068.27 crore.

New Ranking of Top-10 Companies

This week, Reliance Industries remained India's most valuable company. It was followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, ITC, and Hindustan Unilever.
