I chose the Kinnar Akhara because it is independent and free from servitude." She also stated that she values all aspects of life, including entertainment and meditation.

Kulkarni revealed that before her appointment, she underwent a rigorous examination by four Jagat Gurus. She stated, "For two days, I was urged to accept the position of Mahamandaleshwar, but I said I didn't need the robes. I will wear them only when necessary, just like a police officer doesn't wear their uniform at home."
