On Valentine's Day, the highly anticipated fourth installment of the Hollywood "Captain America" franchise was released in India. Audience excitement was palpable, and the film made a remarkable showing at the Indian box office on its opening day.

The recently released superhero film, "Captain America: Brave New World," made a b entry into Indian cinemas. This is the 35th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the fourth installment of the Captain America franchise, eagerly awaited by audiences for almost nine years.

Released on Valentine's Day, the film had a spectacular box office opening and is generating significant revenue worldwide with excellent performance.

"Captain America" Challenges "Chhava"

The success of Captain America: Brave New World isn't limited to the international box office; it's also making a significant impact in Indian theaters. The film grossed an estimated ₹4.3 crore on its first day, surpassing many Bollywood films. Films like "Badass Ravi Kumar" and "Lavyapa" couldn't stand up to Captain America's performance.

However, Vicky Kaushal's "Chhava" has recorded the biggest opening of 2025 so far, with an estimated collection of ₹31 crore on its first day. But, had there not been a clash with Captain America, "Chhava's" earnings might have been even higher. This Hollywood vs. Bollywood clash has created an interesting competition at the box office, with both films maintaining a b foothold.
