Political activity has intensified ahead of the state assembly elections. Former IPS officer Shivdeep Lande has now entered the political arena by announcing his new political party.
Bihar Politics: A new twist has emerged in Bihar's politics. Noted former IPS officer Shivdeep Vamanrao Lande has decided to enter the political fray. After recently resigning from his post, he has announced his new political party, 'Hind Sena'. Notably, he will also contest as a candidate in the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
What is the vision of ‘Hind Sena’?
Shivdeep Lande's 'Hind Sena' aims to focus on social change in Bihar, fighting corruption, and engaging youth in politics. Lande clearly stated that the youth of Bihar are now awake and want change. My party will be the voice of that transformation. The newly formed party's election symbol is also quite symbolic: a Tripund (three vertical lines) on a khaki background. This not only recalls Lande's police career but also represents values such as 'power, loyalty, and penance'.
Why did Shivdeep Lande reject offers of power?
Lande, known for his outspoken views, also revealed that several major political parties had offered him a Rajya Sabha seat, a ministerial post, and even the chief ministership. However, he rejected all these offers. He says, "I don't want power, I want change. I don't want to be a pawn of any party. I will fight for the people from the people's party."
In his message, Lande specifically addressed the youth of Bihar, saying that the doors of Hind Sena are open to young people who want to give Bihar a new direction. This is not just a party, it's a movement.
