At this global investment conference, he unveiled 18 new policies aimed at boosting industrial development in the state. The Prime Minister highlighted the potential for substantial investment in the textile, tourism, and technology sectors, anticipating the creation of millions of jobs. He stated, "This is India's golden age, when the entire world is recognizing our potential and prioritizing India for investment."
Patna: A Gift for Farmers – Distribution of ₹22,000 Crore under the Samman Nidhi
After Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Bihar, where he distributed the 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under this scheme, approximately ₹22,000 crore was directly transferred to the accounts of 9.8 crore farmers. He emphasized the government's focus on resolving farmers' issues and making the agricultural sector self-reliant. He also announced the formation of a special board for Makhana farmers to create new opportunities in this sector.
Guwahati: Celebrating Assam's Culture and Emphasizing Women's Empowerment
Upon reaching Assam, the Prime Minister received a grand welcome. He honored Assam's cultural heritage by enjoying a performance of the Jhumur dance by 9,000 artists. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of empowering tea garden workers and women. Under a government initiative, over 1.5 million pregnant women were announced to receive ₹15,000 in financial assistance to alleviate financial hardship during pregnancy.
