Tahavvur-Rana: Tahawwur Rana, a mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks, has expressed concern regarding his ongoing trial in India. During a recent appearance in the Patiala House Court, Rana asked his lawyer if the case would conclude within one year. This question reflects his growing stress stemming from the lengthy trial and its uncertainties.

NIA Uncovers Crucial Information

Sources indicate Rana requested a holy Quran in jail, a request granted by the court, which ordered the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to provide it. The court also permitted Rana to meet with his lawyer for legal assistance. Meanwhile, the NIA has presented new revelations against Rana in court.

The agency claims to possess records of several phone calls between Rana and his co-conspirator, David Coleman Headley, which may provide crucial information regarding the conspiracy behind the Mumbai attacks.

NIA's Significant Claim Regarding Rana's Conspiracy

The NIA asserts it possesses evidence suggesting Rana conspired to carry out a 26/11-style terrorist attack targeting various Indian cities. This revelation could play a significant role in the ongoing investigation.

Concerns Raised Regarding Rana's Health

The court has ordered regular medical check-ups for Rana to ensure his physical well-being. Furthermore, the court instructed the NIA to allow Rana to meet with his lawyer every other day to avoid any hindrance in his legal proceedings.

Charges Against Rana

Rana faces serious charges, including terrorism, conspiracy, murder, and forgery. The NIA investigation also revealed the significant role played by the Pakistan-based terrorist organization, Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI), in executing the attack.
