Police have registered five FIRs in this case and detained approximately 50 individuals. Efforts are underway to identify the rioters and take strict action against them.

Case Filed Against VHP and Bajrang Dal Officials

According to a PTI report, police have filed a case against several officials of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal for inciting religious sentiments. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Ganeshpeth police station against Maharashtra and Goa VHP's acting secretary, Govind Shende, and other leaders.

VHP Claims Violence Was Pre-planned

Rajkumar Sharma, the VHP's Dharma Prachar Pramukh (Vidarbha Province), claimed that the violence in Nagpur was pre-planned. He alleged that an appeal from a mosque located opposite Chitnis Park instigated the crowd, leading to the outbreak of violence.
