Mahakumbh 2025: The Uttar Pradesh state cabinet will convene at the Sangam confluence on Wednesday, during the auspicious occasion of Mahakumbh 2025. This meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will include all 54 ministers of the state. Following the cabinet meeting, all ministers will participate in a collective holy bath in the Sangam.
Cabinet Meeting at Sangam for the Second Time
This marks the second time the Yogi government is holding a cabinet meeting at the Sangam confluence. A similar meeting was held during the 2019 Kumbh Mela. This year's event, taking place after the Poush Purnima and Makar Sankranti bathing festivals, holds even greater significance.
Meeting to be Held at Triveni Complex, Arail
The cabinet meeting will be held at the Triveni Complex in Arail on Wednesday, commencing at 12 noon. The administration chose this location considering the convenience of devotees. Initially, the meeting was scheduled for the Mela Authority auditorium, but it was relocated due to logistical reasons.
Sangam Bath and Puja after the Meeting
After the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and all ministers will travel to the Sangam via motorboat from the Arail VIP Ghat. The historic day will conclude with a Ganga bath and formal puja at the Sangam. Members of Parliament, MLAs, and administrative officials from Prayagraj and surrounding districts will also participate in this event.
Chief Minister's Arrival and Schedule
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will arrive at the helipad at the DPS ground by helicopter around 11 am on Wednesday. He will then proceed to the Triveni Complex by car. After the bath and puja, he will partake in a midday meal with all the ministers.
Stringent Security and Administrative Arrangements
For this grand event, 55 magistrates, including DMs from Prayagraj and four surrounding districts, have been deployed. Separate officials have been assigned responsibilities for the meeting, bath, and meal. Departmental officials of the ministers have also been given responsibilities for the event. Legislative Assembly officials have been engaged in preparations since Tuesday night.
Focus on Ministers' and Devotees' Convenience
The administration has made extensive arrangements to facilitate this event. Special arrangements have been made for traffic and security to ensure devotees face no inconvenience during the Sangam bath.
