The Uttar Pradesh government is introducing new regulations for outsourced employees, offering significant benefits, particularly for women. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government plans to provide maternity leave and other benefits to women working on an outsourced basis.

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government is implementing new rules for outsourced employees, providing substantial relief, especially for women. Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, the government plans to offer maternity leave and various other benefits to women employed through outsourcing. A corporation will be established in the state to facilitate improved facilities for these employees.

Women Employees to Receive 180 Days of Maternity Leave

Previously, outsourced women employees did not receive benefits like maternity leave. However, the new rules will grant them six months (180 days) of paid maternity leave. Furthermore, in case of miscarriage, women employees will receive a special leave of 42 days.

Considering the health of outsourced employees, the government has decided to provide medical leave of up to 91 days with 70% pay. In case of a serious illness, leave will be granted for up to 309 days with 80% pay.

Free Treatment and Insurance Coverage

The government will provide free treatment at Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospitals for outsourced employees. This benefit extends to family members as well. Additionally, in case of accidental death, the government will provide financial assistance of ₹15,000 for funeral expenses.

The state government has issued an order mandating that all state employees must compulsorily register their complete information on the Human Resource Portal from April 1st. This includes uploading their service book, annual property details, salary information, annual performance evaluation, and leave applications online.

This government initiative will significantly benefit outsourced employees, providing them with greater security and respect in the workplace. This decision will directly benefit lakhs of outsourced employees in Uttar Pradesh, improving their efficiency and standard of living.
