Himachal Budget 2025: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu made significant announcements in Budget 2025 for the state's employees and pensioners. A 3% Dearness Allowance (DA) hike has been announced for government employees, with installments to be released from May 15th. Additionally, arrears from revised pay scales will be paid in a phased manner, providing relief to thousands of employees and pensioners.
Priority for Senior Pensioners
The state government has prioritized the payment of arrears for pensioners aged 70-75 years. Payments will commence in this financial year. Salary arrears for Class IV, III, II, and I employees and officers will also be disbursed in a phased manner. The government has allocated a total budget of ₹425 crore for this purpose.
Salary Increases for Teachers and Other Employees
The budget also includes salary increases for employees in the education sector. The honorarium for School Management Committee (SMC) teachers has been increased by ₹500, and the government is considering their regularization.
₹500 Increase in IT Teachers' Salary
- Outsourced personnel will now receive a minimum monthly salary of ₹12,750.
- A ₹300 per month increase in SPO honorarium.
- A ₹500 per month increase in the honorarium for tailoring teachers.
- A ₹500 increase in the honorarium for Multitasking Workers in the Public Works Department.
Relief for Daily Wage Earners and Other Workers
The government has also increased salaries for daily wage earners and other employees in various departments. Daily wages have been increased from ₹400 to ₹425. The honorarium for Anganwadi workers has been increased from ₹10,000 to ₹10,500, while Mini Anganwadi workers will now receive ₹7,300 per month. The salary of Asha workers has also been increased by ₹300, bringing their salary to ₹5,800.
Mid-day meal workers' salaries have been increased by ₹500, bringing their monthly salary to ₹5,000. Salaries for water carriers, water protectors, multipurpose workers, parafitters, pump operators, panchayat chowkidars, and revenue chowkidars have also been increased by ₹300 to ₹500.
